(4) These anti-reflective optical coatings are designed to reduce reflectance and improve transmission for glass and plastic optics. Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) is a versatile and durable AR coating for glass substrates. AR520 is an AR coating designed specifically for plastic substrates.
Features
Anti-reflective Coatings suitable for both glass and plastic substrates
AR Coatings that can be deposited on substrates up to 90 inches
Magnesium fluoride meets durability specifications of Mil-C-675
AR520 is suitable for acrylic, polycarbonate and other plastics
(4) Dielectric beamsplitters on plate glass are stocked in common reflectance/transmission configurations. Also known as plate beam splitters or partial mirrors is an optical device which can split an incident light beam (e.g. a laser beam) into two or more beams, which may or may not have the same optical power. Beamsplitters are used for very different purposes. For example, beam splitters are required for interferometers, autocorrelators, cameras, projectors, teleprompters, simulators and laser systems. We stock coated beamsplitter sheets and cut them to meet specific customer requirements.
(12) Neutral density filters (NDF) are offered in fixed densities ranging from 0.1 to 4.0. NDF coatings are provided complete on float glass substrates or can be applied to other substrates provided by our customers.
We stock uncoated diameters in 1" and 2" sizes and offer fast turnaround on coated parts. Please specify size and density requirements.
EMF's Large Optics Coatings Business Unit is organized to handle large optical coatings and special substrate applications that require intensive engineering and careful program management. Our Large Optics group has over 60 years of combined optics handling experience and has participated in some of the most exciting optics programs in the history of space exploration. Our staff is on hand to customize standard offerings or to create custom thin film solutions to meet your large optics needs.
